Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to common questions about our services and approach
Do you take my health insurance?
1-to-1 ADHD and Anxiety Solutions is out of network for commercial insurance plans. We will be happy to provide you with a statement of payments and insurance codes for submission to your insurance company. Please check with your insurance carrier ahead of time to determine what kind of reimbursement they can provide under your plan.
Can I use my HSA/FSA funds to pay for visits?
Yes, we are able to accept payment with your HSA/FSA cards and can provide you with a billing/payment statement to document the visit as your plan requires.
How often do we meet with the doctor?
That depends on the individual case. Typically the initial visit would involve a 1 hour face-to-face visit with Dr. Nash to establish a diagnosis and treatment plan. It is helpful if parents/caretakers can gather any relevant testing or diagnostic tools that have been completed in the past and submit them to the office ahead of the visit. This will maximize how much can be achieved at the first visit. If appropriate referrals can be made to nutritionists, therapists right away and a treatment plan can usually be initiated at the end of the visit. Initial follow up visits usually happen within the first few weeks with subsequent follow ups being spaced out as appropriate.
What days/times will appointments be available?
Dr. Nash will be conducting most appointments on Mondays and Friday between 9 am and 5 pm. Appointments on other days, or after hours appointment can be arranged by request.
What ages do you treat?
We treat children and adolescents ages 17 and under who are located within California.
How do telemedicine appointments work?
Telemedicine appointments are conducted through a secure video platform. You'll receive a link to join the virtual waiting room at your scheduled appointment time. Dr. Nash will join you for a face-to-face consultation, just like an in-person visit, but from the comfort of your home.
What should I prepare for the first appointment?
For the initial visit, please gather any relevant testing or diagnostic tools that have been completed in the past, school reports, teacher evaluations, and any previous medical records related to ADHD or anxiety symptoms. Having these documents ready will help us make the most of your first appointment.
Do you provide medication management?
Yes, as a board-certified pediatrician, Dr. Nash can provide medication management as part of a comprehensive treatment plan when appropriate. Medication decisions are made collaboratively with families and may be combined with other therapeutic approaches.
Do I need anything special at home to have my child receive care through this online practice?
You don't need anything initially, however, depending on your child's case you may be asked to have the following items available:
- An accurate scale
- A means to measure your child's height (pencil mark on the wall and tape measure is fine)
- An automatic blood pressure machine with a cuff appropriate for your child's size (available online)
